Who we are
Skyber AI is operated by Investech Skyber, trading as Skyber AI. Investech Skyber is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice and decides why and how it is processed. Contact us from the email address on your account for any privacy request.
What we collect and why
Account data (email address and authentication identifiers) to create and secure your account; content data (conversations, personas, saved memories and uploaded files) to provide the service; support messages to answer you; usage, device and IP data for security, fraud prevention and product improvement; and subscription records (order and subscription status, expiry, and the store or provider reference) to grant access. We do not collect advertising identifiers and we do not sell personal data.
Legal basis
We process account, content and subscription data to perform our contract with you; security, fraud prevention and product improvement rest on our legitimate interests; optional marketing rests on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time; and some retention and tax records are kept to meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Service providers and subprocessors that host our infrastructure, store files and power AI model responses; Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record and reseller, which handles card and PayPal checkout, subscription management, payments, invoicing, tax compliance and buyer support for those orders; Google Play, where you purchase inside the Android app; professional advisers such as legal and accounting; and authorities where the law requires it. Payment card details are collected and processed by Paddle or Google — we never receive or store them.
Storage, security and transfers
Data is stored in an encrypted managed database with per-user access rules, so one account cannot read another account's data. Attachments live in a private bucket reachable only through short-lived signed links, and access requires an authenticated session. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes above, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Billing and tax records are retained for the period the law requires.
Your rights
Subject to your local law, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent, and complain to your supervisory authority. We respond within one month. You can also delete individual conversations, memories and personas in the app; deleting your account removes your conversations, messages, personas, memories and stored files.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Checkout pages may set cookies from Paddle to complete your order. We do not run advertising cookies; you can clear or block cookies in your browser, though sign-in will stop working.
Children
Skyber AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
